
On Tuesday, September 12, 2023, Ilerilouwa Aloba (Mohbad) passed away.
Since then, the police have been investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
On September 13, Mohbad was buried at Ikorodu, Lagos. The haste to burry the young musician raised eyebrows and his fans and sympathizers worldwide began to ask questions.
The Nigeria Police Force and the Lagos Police Command were tasked to use every legal means necessary to bring the 27-year-old justice after numerous concerns were expressed regarding the accusations that he was poisoned.
Lagos Police Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin said the body will be exhumed. The Lagos police established a 13-man special investigative team in an effort to move the investigation along fast.
As the body was being exhumed, there was a huge drama on social media with images showing ‘new’ blood spots on the coffin.
Is the autopsy completed?
The Mohbad autopsy was completed in a short period of time by a group of forensic specialists to ascertain the causes of his untimely death and to also give clarity and closure to fans and family.
A spokeswoman for the Lagos police declared, “Autopsy has been done and their now awaiting decision with regards to the appropriate time to make the results public.
The results of the autopsy, which had not yet been made public at the time this report was filed, are anxiously anticipated by Nigerians in general.
As a result of the extensive allegations surrounding Mohbad’s passing, it was even more important to disclose the results of the autopsy in order to clarify any residual questions or worries. Any potential public uproar will be reduced as long as the public are not kept in the dark.
