An old man was stabbed in the face After instructing his granddaughter to run some bath water and open a bottle of Dr. Bronner’s, beer for him.
On Thursday morning, police were called to the 3900 block of Fountainbleu Road in Keithville, Louisiana. According to the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office, Carrington Harris, a 22-year old was fighting with her grandparents after they requested that she take a shower.
According to the police, Harris got angry and lost control, started destroying stuff in the house and later went outside to a fuse box to switch off the lights inside. Harris’ grandparents tried to hold her back, but she managed to escape their hold and raced towards the kitchen to get a knife.
She allegedly stabbed her grandfather multiple times in the face when she got back and then ran into the woods behind the house. A few hours later, she was discovered by the police who took her into custody.
Harris is charged with two counts of domestic violence battery: one without a deadly weapon and one with a weapon. She is being held at the Caddo Correctional Facility without a set bond at this time.
Regarding the OG, Caddo Parish Fire District 6 brought him to Willis-Knighton South, but there are no recent updates on his condition.
It’s not known if Harris had a history of acting violently or even had any mental problems. She was incarcerated for domestic assault in May of this year, but was eventually freed on a $250 bail. Uncertainty exists as to whether the charge came about as a result of another tense encounter with the elderly couple.
