GALAXY Z FOLD TAB: Samsung Foldable Tablet in the Works.
The release of Samsung’s upcoming flagship tablets, the Galaxy Tab S9 series, is approaching as evidenced by several leaks. However, the company might have an additional surprise in store for customers.
A foldable tablet that will be launched simultaneously with the Tab S9 series, according to @Tech_Reve.

The so-called Galaxy Z Fold Tab will join Samsung’s Z-series of foldable devices, but very little is known about its features. It remains unclear whether it will have a triple foldable design, as previously speculated, since such a design may increase the device’s complexity with its dual hinges.

A patent filing by Samsung from a couple of years ago provides a glimpse into what the device might look like. The patent outlines dual hinges that allow the tablet to be folded forwards or backward. This provides the user with a smaller display with a wide aspect ratio or closing the display for protection.

It is essential to note that patent designs do not always translate into actual products. A single-hinge design would be simpler to manufacture. Samsung has already produced four generations of the Z Fold, so scaling up to tablet size shouldn’t be an issue.

As the launch date for the Galaxy Tab S9 series draws closer, more information on Samsung’s future product lineup is expected. In addition, Apple’s initial venture into foldable devices is projected to be an iPad rather than an iPhone. Ming-Chi Kuo predicts a 2024 launch for the iPad, giving Samsung ample time to outmaneuver its main competitor to market
