
Members of the Church of Pentecost were engaged in a deadly accident at Gomoa Otsew on the Kasoa-Cape Coast Highway in the Central Region.

One person died on the spot, while others suffered critical injuries. The driver of the Man Diesel truck, one of the cars in the collision, said that he was travelling back from the Ivory Coast. He claimed that a different car illegally passed him and shoved its way ahead of him when he arrived at Gomoa Otsew.


Sadly for him, the bus carrying more than 22 members of the Church of Pentecost Tarkwa branch struck the rear of another truck, killing one person and injuring several more as he swerved and went into a nearby bush to avoid colliding with another car.

The Apam District Fire Commander, ACFO Adolf Ankomah Nuamah, said that the injured passengers are being treated at the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital.
“We received a distress call at approximately 5:30 p.m. regarding an accident involving a Nissan Navara bus from Accra, a Toyota Coastal bus carrying members of the Church of Pentecost, and a Man Diesel truck from the Ivory Coast.”
The driver of the Man Diesel truck claims that he was forced to collide head-on with the Nissan Navara and the Toyota Coastal bus due to an illegal overtaking by another vehicle.

On the bus, one individual was run over. On the Coastal bus, there were twenty-two passengers, however one person died and the other suffered serious injuries. They were immediately rushed to the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital for treatment.
