An innocent lady was rendered unrecognisable after being severely beaten by her violent boyfriend.
The woman, who now demands justice was viciously assaulted at her house in Blackpool Lancashire by Karl Machin who is 44-year old. He assaulted her and recorded it on his smartphone as well leaving her with a brain damage and a broken jaw.
She also suffered from tooth loss, a concussion, and a broken orbital floor in her left eye socket, which prevented her eyelid from closing properly and caused it to droop.
The injuries were so severe, according to Mail Online, that when one of the officers responding to the scene saw her, he mistakenly believed the blood in her hair was actually red hair.
Machin, a resident of Blackpool and also the perpetrator in has finally been apprehended by the police and is officially awaiting trial. 
It is also stated that he will also be given a 10 year restraining order which will take effect as soon as he is done serving the prison sentence that will be imposed by the court.
The victim has spoken out about the assault for the first time and claimed that as a result of what happened, she experiences nightmares, flashbacks, and panic attacks.
She further stated, “Even though I sustained severe physical injuries, the emotional and psychological harm to me has been just as horrific.”
“I have experienced unimaginable trauma and psychological distress as a result of this.” I experience dreams and flashbacks.
“I’m also having trauma reactions and triggers, like hypervigilance. hyperarousal, worry, and extremely upsetting panic attacks. I become anxious in large gatherings and dislike being in small areas, especially when there are men there.
“I feel exposed and unsafe, constantly on the lookout behind me for anyone who might hurt me,” she also said. I have trouble sleeping because of my nightmares since I remember what occurred to me while I’m asleep.
I don’t really know how the attack will affect me emotionally, and I need to be honest about the possibility that it will have long-term effects on my sense of worth and self-confidence.
However, I am working hard to get some of my old self back. However, I do believe that my sense of security and tranquilly have been taken from me.
I no longer feel secure in my home since it is polluted and marred by the horrible events that occurred there.
Finally, I must now work to rebuild my life and myself while accepting the truth that I will never again be the same person I once was.
I feel as though some of my best qualities have been erased and forever transformed.
“Karl Machin subjected his victim to a brutal, severe, and life-altering assault that left her with not only horrifying physical injuries but also with long-lasting psychological damage,” she said.
He is obviously a very aggressive person, so I applaud the court’s decision to impose both a jail sentence and a restraining order.
I want to commend the victim for having the guts to talk about what happened to her and for being willing to go through the legal process.
‘I hope her bravery will give other women who might be in violent or abusive situations the confidence to come forward and report it to police knowing we will investigate professionally and respectfully and that we will attempt to bring criminals before the courts,’ the statement states.
