Showtime decided to renew The Chi for a sixth season back in August 2022, while the fifth season was still in progress. We found out in June 2023 that the sixth season will be released in two parts and would debut 48 hours ahead of Showtime’s premiere on Paramount Plus subscribers’ digital platforms. The Chi season 6’s first part aired in August and September of 2023; the release date for Part 2 is still pending.
